Tips For Making Your Home Sell!
- Clean EVERYTHING!!! Make sure your home is spotless, toys should be picked up and beds should be made, so that the house is always ready to show.
- Mow the Lawn & Trim the hedges! Remember the first thing people notice about your house is the lawn, so make it memorable in a good way. It's all about Curb Appeal!
- Pack away collections and personal belongings. After all, you are planning to move and getting a head start at packing these items away will clear the way for potential buyers to see the house instead of being distracted by your things.
- Minimize furniture! Remember potential buyers should be able to see wallspace and floorspace. Less furniture makes the room look larger.
- Pack away out of season clothes and put them in storage. If you aren't wearing it then pack it and make your closets look twice as big as they are.
- Rent a Storage Unit - it may seem to make sense to pack all of these things away in your garage but if you only have one garage you will be doing yourself a big disservice. People want to see enough space in the garage to park the car (or cars).
- Paint the Front Door! Why? Because this is the one feature in your home that potential home buyers not only see first but see for the longest amount of time as they wait for their agent to open the door.
- Add a fresh coat of paint to all rooms, choose warm, neutral inviting tones. Try to avoid white.
- Update Your Accessories - upgrade/update faucets, doorknobs and light switch covers

- Send Fido to visit Grandma - pets are wonderful to have and they keep us company but sometimes they can also keep us from selling our homes. if you have a pet and you can send them to stay with a family member while you sell your home that is best. If not, try to take them out for a walk when the home is being shown, or crate them. Remember some buyers may be allergic to or scared of your pets.
